The 6208 classic runs on a S40 platform that has been changed to accommodate the physical limitations of a touchscreen. The Classic part in the name may be due to the boring look the phone has.

Ovi, the free email account from Nokia, goes live and more than 110 million Nokia (limited to Nokia Series 40) phone users can now set up their own account directly on their phones. This means allot to emerging markets that don’t have internet on their PC; they will no longer be internet or email virgins; they will have a place in the internet landscape. Own, use, carry a Nokia or a GSP-equipped phone? Well, why don’t you help and contribute to the community for bettering your ride home. Nokia, UC Berkeley, NAVTEQ, California Department of transportation and a mess of others are conducting a public pilot that will collect and study traffic data received from GPS-enabled mobile devices to better your ride.

Soon you’ll be able to use your phone to find a better way out of that traffic jam; all through the help of a community of GPS-equipped wielding mobile users. The information being collected by each user will offer real-time information about traffic congestion to help the driver take the best route (e.g., alternative routes that aren’t highway-based, public transport or reschedule their trip.)

To learn more, register as a user, and/or download the user-friendly software to your phone visit their site. Participants must have phones that support Java applications and use GSM carriers (such as AT&T and T-Mobile.

It seems it’s high time that Nokia drops the curtain on the Nokia E63. The smartphone leaks for a second time now this time featured on a live video bringing in a short demo of the handset. The global leader of mobile phones, Nokia, has recently announced the latest addition to its Bluetooth headsets, BH-804. This is the smallest headset that has been developed by Nokia measuring 42 x 13.6 x 6 mm and weighing 7.2g.

Supporting DSP for back ground noise cancellation and an aluminum case construction, the headset bears Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR. The BH-804 consists of two buttons which help in call management and volume control. The ear piece comes with a desktop charger and a neck strap.

Availability has been announced for the fourth quarter of 2008 without any pricing details.
