The monochromatic square is called QR Code. Japan’s new form of “spreading awareness” through this formulated symbol. The reason why Japan’s is utilizing this method is because their phones come installed with QR Code readers, which all a person needs to do is hold up the camera to it and presto! you’re being directed to the advertiser’s website, a phone number appears, or a written text is displayed.
