Motorola’s i465 Clutch, Moto’s first QWERTY iDEN device

i465_l3qtr_idle_boostAnother “very first” post. Motorola is coming out with its very first iDen device featuring a full QWERTY keyboard. The i465 pictured here is dubbed – Clutch. Boost Mobile is a shoe in for the device and the Sprint division will be launching in this quarter.

Specifications are: Bluetooth 1.2, a 160 x 128 display, video record thru VGA cam, and complaint for shock, vibration (so when the phone goes a-tumbling down, you’ll be thankful). Pricing will be announced closer to blast-off date.

The way it’s looking, 2009 will have popped its cherry to the technological frontier shakers. Maybe it’s something to write home about.

motocalgary-androidAnother cell phone manufacturer is coming out with a “First Android Mobile Device”, Boy Genius Report(‘s) that Motorola’s QWERTY slider Calgary (picture left) will be its first android-powered mobile device to go mainstream – though actual launch dates are uncertain.  Other news is that the Android Motorola department is working on a portrait QWERTY slider for the third quarter, named “Ironman” (see picture at Read), which will host 3G, and high-res camera—translation: mucho buckos.

Motorola’s The Flash and The Inferno, RIP

motoflashMotorola has had its ups and downs with new handsets coming out. But I’m giving you bad news today. There are a couple mobile devices that didn’t make the grade and have been vanished. The Flash (pictured to the left) lived up to its name – gone in a flash (am I the only one laughing?). The design was something of a spectacle but it seemed that fanstasy and reality couldn’t translate into actuality, so into the gutter with the Flash.

The Inferno (pictured at the Read) is in hell probably. Dying from its prosaic blandness.

Though there is a silver lining in all this, the Rolex seems to be working its way into mass-production or high-end exclusive levels, we aren’t sure.

Motorola’s The Rolex, a new pricey hand-set?

rolexui-bgrMotorola seems to creating and creating and developing. The new phone that seems to be in the works is the Rolex which, what we know about it, is made out of hardened glass and will have the same display as the Aura. Our guess that this mobile device is not for the masses, more like those that can lift a hefty price tag over their heads – God bless them! Pictured above is the screen of the Rolex.

Hello Moto – Moto V10, that is.

moto-v10South Korea gets an add-on in the Motorola RAZR saga, the MOTO v10. The V10 is a mid-end 2G clamshell. Not 100% positive if it is heir to RAZR V9, but by looks this sapling resembles the RAZR ancestry. The only striking difference is the navigation pad. It features EV-DO REv. 0 connectivity, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth, Music player, memory expansion slot, nothing new here it seems. But if you’re in South Korea the next few weeks pick one up and write a travel story about it, we all like travel stories.
